Working Technical Rehearsal

The New Theatre Scholarship Guild is pleased to announce our first event at the New Theatre & Restaurant Saturday, July 3rd from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

The New Theatre & Restaurant will fully re-open July 6th with “THE KING IN CONCERT” featuring the music of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. It promises to be a high-energy concert-style show!

Due to unique rehearsal scheduling, we will not have our regular Guild Meet and Greet OR Guild Dress Rehearsal for this production. However, we have been invited to peek into the process of the building of a show at a WORKING TECHNICAL REHEARSAL on Saturday, July 3rd from 3 – 5 p.m. This will not necessarily be the full “beginning to end run” that we are used to seeing, but a “stop and start as needed by the director” rehearsal, where they are adjusting lights, sound, and working on other technical issues. Fascinating to see how everything is put together. We hope you can join us!

The lobby will be open at 2:00 p.m. and the doors will open for seating in the auditorium at 2:45 p.m. Donations of $7.00 for guild members and $12.00 for friends will be received at the door that day.

New Theatre & Restaurant is following the CDC recommendation regarding masks. Fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks any longer, and those not fully vaccinated are encouraged to still wear one for their safety and those of other non-vaccinated individuals.
